I wasn’t at work the first week of 2015, hence me starting with Weeknote 2. If you’re interested in what I did in 2014, you may be interested in this Yearnote.

This week I’ve been:

  • Returning to work. I felt pretty refreshed after the break and #BelshawBlackOps14. I’m optimistic about the year ahead – both in terms of Mozilla and Dynamic Skillset.
  • Hacking and collaborating with Laura via GitHub on the first stages of a new Webmaker Clubs curriculum. It’s funny how just one-line thing like this can include so many sub-issues!
  • Creating a video explaining how to use GitHub pages to host a bootstrap-themed website.
  • Meeting with Karen and Robert to discuss and start planning out the next Webmaker whitepaper on Learning Pathways. The first whitepaper was Why Mozilla cares about Web Literacy.
  • Reducing the price of my e-book, The Essential Elements of Digital Literacies and writing about the pricing strategy.
  • Finalising the slides/details of my keynote for Durham University’s e-Learning conference. I blogged about that here.
  • Attending the conference. They put me up in a suite in Durham castle for two nights! I spoke on a panel as well as giving my keynote.
  • Scanning in all of the index cards from participants in my session. More on that in this post.
  • Replying to the questions conference participants asked in this post.
  • Setting a day/time for the Web Literacy Map v1.5 community calls. You should join the Webmaker mailing list for more updates about this.
  • Catching up with Ian O’Byrne to talk about writing the history of the Web Literacy Map, planning podcasts, and life in general.
  • Submitting expenses and other admin kind of stuff.
