This week I’ve been:

  • Leading a launch session for my new e-book, The Essential Elements of Digital Literacies. The recording can be found on YouTube.
  • Participating in a webinar on MOOC accreditation and employability. My slides are here.
  • Making the final tweaks to the first Webmaker whitepaper on Why Mozilla cares about Web Literacy. We’re not publicly promoting it yet, but it’s ready.
  • Updating the guidance on the Webmaker blog about how to earn the Webmaker Mentor badge.
  • Booking my trains/accommodation for next week’s eLearning Development on a Shoestring event.
  • Talking with Laura Hilliger and coming up with a plan for counting ‘contribution’ within Webmaker Training.
  • Planning my presentation and and designing slides for the Indie Tech Summit. You can find the slides here.
  • Issuing more Webmaker Mentor and Super Mentor badges.
  • Getting some advice from Lynn Moore about future Webmaker whitepapers.
  • Speaking at the Indie Tech Summit in Brighton, as well as attending the unconference.
  • Working with my colleagues to create a ‘designed alliance’ around respecting one another’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. This was based on an excellent New York Times article entitled Why You Hate Work (not that I do!)

Next week I’m taking Tuesday off as a day in lieu for working on Saturday. Then I’m in London on Thursday (meeting with Adam Lofting around learning metrics) and Friday (eLearning Network event).
