Weeknote 29/2015

This weeknote is coming at you slightly late given I was away all weekend in the Lake District doing a Mountain Skills course.

So, last week I was:

  • Pushing out Issue #180 and #181 of my newsletter, Things We Learned This Week. Thanks to nCube for sponsoring July’s issues!

  • Staying at home (instead of travelling to London) as it was my children’s sports days. My son won every event and I, er, won the dad’s race.

  • Recording and releasing Episode 18 of the podcast I record with Dai Barnes entitled Today In Digital Education (TIDE).

  • Collaborating with Bryan Mathers on updates to the Open Badges 101 course we’re putting together.

  • Interviewed by Trello for an upcoming blog post they’re putting together. I may also contribute towards their series of inspiration boards.

  • Putting together some documents around Open Badges and digital strategy for City & Guilds.

  • Planning for my first session with London Connected Learning Centre on Monday. I’m looking forward to coaching their staff to help them move to the next level.

  • Updating my wiki about my current information environment.

  • Writing:

    • Identifying, scaffolding, and credentialing skills in an ever-changing digital environment [#celt15]
    • Setting an Agile School Rhythm [DMLcentral]
    • Claim your Advanced Kanban badge!

This coming week I’ll be in London for two and a half days (Mon-Weds), and down in Brighton for a session at City & Guilds Kineo on Thursday.
